Just came back from CS lab session. It's been a crazy day, and as always, since I don't have more than one class on wednesday, I usually use the rest of Tuesday to relax, although sometimes that proves to be a costly mistake.

My Environmental Ethics class is driving me nuts, not that I don't like it. I mean, every day in class we have these Ethicists trying to develop theories to prove that theirs is the best for solving environmental problems. I don't think there is a cure unless humans start killing ourselves in massive amounts. It applies to all species, the top predator, when supplied with enough consumption resources, grows in number exponentially and brings devastative impact to the environment. Human is the top predator, with the most variable appetite. I just don't see there being a way of stopping the humans except either a global resource depletion or some other higher species that gain control over humans, which in turn will mess up the planet as well. Don't matter, just mess it up. That's what we are supposed to do.

 

Just noticed Tim is the inverse of MIT, ha, coincidence.
