February 18 ski trip (preparation)I've never had a day like this. Everything went my way. I got my Stats test back and a 92, which is pretty good. And for my econ class I got a quiz and a homework back, both 100. And on the basketball court, I scored on the first five possessions for our team, all beyond the arc. I finished the game shooting seven out of nine, including five out of six from threes, a 15-footer, and a floater, which was my favorite piece. We ended winning the game 11 to 10. I finally came to feel the spirit of God around me, so real. And I felt filled by it. And it was the first time that I officially fasted and prayed. God must have heard me, and guided my road. For that, I thank God.
I suddenly realized that as a Christian, I shouldn't blame myself for being stupid. Because once I accepted Jesus as my savior and reconnected with God, I was filled with God's devine spirit. I would be blaming God instead. I will start to live as a proud person, something that I have never done before.
We are going skiing tomorrow. Please God, look after us, because it's easy to get hurt especially as beginners. Please bless us so that we can have a wonderful day. February 08 game on (2)I just noticed that I am not a good player at all in terms of making my teamates better. I guess I can't step up and take charge when it's time. I can only be a role player and do what I need to do. My first intramural game ended in a total sweep of 12:48. No dignity at all. ANd I don't have any right to blame my teamates, they all tried their best. Guess that a bunch of so so Asian guys just don't have enough guts and wits and stamina to go against a bunch of Americans on court. For all my life and as much as I love basketball, I have never been on a winning basketball team. Still, got to congratulate all the guys on doing their best on court. Win or lose, the fundamental is to have fun. game onGot couple of intramural basketball games going on tonight. Hope that I can pull it off the best I can. And maybe we can at least put up a fight against those guys. But honestly, I don't think we stand a chance, unless I start playing on MJ's level. But, it's just playing.
Besides, don't know why people don't know how to speak. When you speak, the main purpose is to make yourself understood. But how can people understand you if they can't hear you? I admit there are some language problems, but why do College students seem so shy when they answer questions or express their opinions in class? Come on, speak up! A mistake is a mistake no matter how low a voice you speak in. Learn how to speak first, guys! |
